Valentines Day Breakfast for Two

I cannot believe Valentines Day is only ten days away! In order to get inspired for the holiday, I designed a darling breakfast for two complete with heart shaped biscuits and strawberry jam. IMG_0475

The color palette I chose for this breakfast was light pink, grey, and gold. I found the grey and white polka dot fabric from Hobby Lobby, immediately fell in love with it, and knew that I wanted to turn it into a table cloth. I also found the shimmery gold polka dot fabric that I used in the streamer backdrop from Hobby Lobby, and adore how the two fabrics complement each other. The pink and gold ombre pennant banner hung above the table to express the focus of love shared at this breakfast.

Want to know an inside fact? I got the biscuits from Buiscuitville and cut them into hearts with a heart shaped cookie cutter! Their biscuits are my favorite.

One of the details of this breakfast that I love most is the painted silverware. I originally wanted to find gold silverware, but decided to try a DIY project to tie in the pink found throughout the tablescape. Since I am quite obsessed with glitter, I also topped the paint off with a rim of pink glitter. It was a simple project that made a big statement!

IMG_0514For me, milk is the perfect beverage to drink alongside biscuits for breakfast. I spruced up the milk jars with heart shaped felt ombre pink ribbon I found at Target and grey striped straws topped with a light pink heart. It is always more enjoyable to drink out of these straws!

I adore adding personal detail to everything I design. The floral centerpiece is actually one that usually adorns my apartment's coffee table, and the pillar candle holder is one that I found at a consignment store close to home. I also created this "your love sweetens my day" print as a reminder that Valentines day should always come back to the focus of loving one another sweetly and purely.

I hope that all of you have a love-filled Valentines Day, and are inspired by this breakfast design. If you design any Valentines Day projects, photo shoots, or tables, be sure to comment below!
