Today was a big day for the ladies of Style + Dish! Not only was it their launch party at Tate's Craft Cocktails, but they were also being featured in the Registry Party at Pottery Barn and Williams Sonoma. Luckily, I got to help produce both events! The morning started by meeting at Tate's in downtown Winston-Salem to determine how to best design the venue for tonight's launch party. Becca bought some fabulous silver sparkle paper that we used throughout the space.
My favorite project was covering the serving dishes that Holly would use to display her food in this sparkle paper. It added just the right touch of a fun flair to otherwise ordinary white serving trays.
Unfortunately, since I'm still at the young age of 20, I could not stay to see the full set-up and production of the event since it took place in a bar. But I'm eagerly anticipating some photos and details of the night from Becca! And you bet that when I hear them I'll tell y'all all about it.
My main involvement with Style + Dish for the day was to be the representative of their company, as well as the 3 individual companies (Rebecca Rose Events, Amy Lynne Originals, and Holly Tate Fine Catering) that make up the business, at the Registry Event at Pottery Barn and Williams Sonoma. The event took place at the Hanes Mall from 6-8. Brides and grooms-to-be were invited to wander between the two stores, viewing demonstrations and samples both from the stores and from local vendors like Style + Dish.
Pottery Barn so graciously let us use one of their fantastic tables as an area to display the design work of the Style + Dish ladies. Take a closer look at what we had to offer-
Holly Tate hands down makes the most fabulous cheese tray I've ever laid my eyes on, and her food is out of this world. I got to try apple butter for the first time today, and boy was it scrumptious! I would have never thought to pair it with cheddar as Holly did, but it was a match made in heaven.
Her figs that were topped with goat cheese mousse and a drizzle of honey were by far the hit of the night. Almost everyone was a bit skeptical to try fresh figs at first, but were beyond pleased when they popped one in their mouth. I had two! I couldn't help myself.
She also had Bloddy Mary Shrimp Cocktails, the creamiest brie I've ever tasted, and Tate's Signature Caramel Corn & Peanuts. The popcorn had a bit of a shockingly unexpected kick to it that everyone was raving about.
Amy Lynne once again outdid herself with this simple yet beautiful floral design. Not only did it look fantastic, but everyone noticed how amazingly fresh it smelled.
Since we didn't have a typical "product display" for Rebecca Rose Events, I became the live product to represent our company. I had such a blast talking with the newly engaged couples who visited the stores today. It was such an exhilarating time meeting new people and getting the chance to go on and on about these three companies and ladies that I've learned to adore over the past month and a half. It felt so easy and genuine to recommend their services, which proves as a great testament to how fantastic my internship has been thus far.
