A Day At The Lake
Happy weekend everybody! Well, kinda. Happy weekend for me :) Today was probably the beginning of most of your workweeks, but it was the first and last day of the weekend for me. Funny Sunday weddings will do that to you. Today, I decided to make the most of my day by going to the lake with Zeke! We brought his two sea-doos down to High Rock lake near Lexington and spent the afternoon on the water. I'm glad he had sea-doos because I actually know how to ride one haha. And they're so much fun! You can go really fast, make waves, ride around in circles, and pretty much do anything you want on them.
Around 6:30 we got a little hungry, so we decided to ride the seadoos over to this restaurant on the water. It was kareoke night buuuut neither of us were really feeling like showcasing our fine singing skills. The other men and women were doing a fine job of that for our entertainment. The menu at the restaruant wasn't very big, but we ordered some good 'ol cheeseburgers and split a side of fries. I was secretly extremely happy that that's what we ate because I've been craving a cheeseburger for a while now. And this one was surprisingly really good!
Once we were through with dinner, we rode back to the dock, packed up our stuff and headed back to Lexington. Neither of us had much to do for the rest of the night, so I stayed a bit longer and we watched Thor. We had never seen the movie and felt like it was one of the movies that everyone had been talking about lately and one that we felt we should probably watch to see what the hype was all about. It was pretty good! Nothing extremely spectacular but it was a lot funnier than I was expecting.
So that was my day. It was a lot of fun going to the lake, and I can't wait to go back soon. But now I'm home and I just treated myself to a little piece of dove chocolate. Instead of using a quote from the Love Life book, I'm going to share the quote from my chocolate instead. I think it's a good one-
Take a deep breath & exhale- Love, Dove
Night all :)
