Let's ring in the first day (and first Thursday!) of March with a fun new cocktail recipe - an incredibly fun and tasty mojito float! Mojitos are some of my absolute favorite cocktails (give me all the muddled mint!!), and any excuse to add ice cream to a drink is good in my book.
The weather is just starting to get a bit warmer here in Dallas, so it's as good a time as any to start thinking of fun spring-y drinks.
Who else flipped the page of their 2018 Cocktail Calendar today? If so, let's toast each other with a virtual cocktail hour tonight to celebrate!
- 2 ounces of your white rum of choice
- 2 ounces of club soda
- 1 tablespoon of sugar
- 3-5 slices of lime
- 2 sprigs of mint (plus more for garnish!)
- 2 scoops of lime sherbet
- In your glass, crush your mint into the sugar and 1 slice of lime using a spoon or muddler.
- Add rum, club soda, and remaining lime slices, and stir.
- Ad sherbet, top with extra mint sprigs for garnish, and enjoy immediately!
BRUNCH PAIRING SUGGESTION
What could be a more perfect pairing for a mojito float than a key lime tart?! If you're already going to be indulging in sherbet with brunch, you might as well go all-out-sweets with a side of key lime!
