Grapefruit Thyme Margarita Recipe
Margaritas are the perfect spring/summer cocktail, aren’t they? They’re easy to make, refreshing, and everyone loves them!
This Grapefruit Thyme Margarita from the 2019 Cocktail Calendar is my favorite spin on a classic margarita.
Seriously y’all - this cocktail is the perfect blend of a little bit tart with a lotta fruity fun. And it’s SO pretty, which is always a plus :)

grapefruit thyme margarita
2-4 ounces of grapefruit juice, depending on your taste
2 ounces of white tequila
1 ounce of lime juice
1 ounce agave
slices of grapefruit, lime, and thyme to garnish
optional: sea salt, to rim the glass
Optional: wet the rim of your glass with a slice of lime. Dip the rim in a plate of sea salt.
Add a slice or two of grapefruit to the bottom of your glass, and a lime slice to the rim of your glass.
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice, grapefruit juice, lime juice, agave, and tequila.
Shake until cold, and strain into your glass.
Garnish with a sprig of thyme (I like to break off a few pieces and stir it into the margarita as well!) and enjoy!
Each month of this cocktails from the garden inspired 2019 Cocktail Calendar features a different illustrated cocktail that is perfectly fitting for that month and season.
I will post the recipe for each month's cocktail here on my blog at the beginning of every month, giving you plenty of time to incorporate the drink into any celebrations you are hosting or attending!
