Spicy Paloma Cocktail Recipe
Summertime is meant for long afternoons by the pool, on a boat at the lake, or sitting in the sand on the beach. And I've found the perfect refreshing cocktail recipe to go along with all of those toasty outdoor activities - the Spicy Paloma!
makes: 1 Spicy Paloma
recipe adapted from Sugar and Cloth
- 1 ounce of tequila
- 3 ounces of fresh squeezed and strained grapefruit juice
- 1 squeeze of lime
- 3 jalapeño slices
- Sugar and sea salt for garnish
Begin by rimming your cocktail glass - take a slice of lime and run it over the top of your glass. Mix together your sugar and sea salt in a bowl, and dip your glass into the mixture.
Combine your tequila, fresh grapefruit juice, squeeze of lime, 2 jalapeño slices and ice in a cocktail shaker. Shake well, so that the jalapeños release their heat to create spice! Then, strain and pour over ice into your cocktail glass.
Add the remaining jalapeño slice into your cocktail - either with or without the seeds and membrane, depending on how spicy you want your cocktail to be!
