Flamingos are all the rage this year, and I for one am thrilled about it! There is something so fun and festive about having flamingos as a design element of your party or wedding, and I absolutely adore that miss Yesy of Love in Vintage decided to have them as a key design element at her daughter's third birthday party! When she reached out to me about designing a flamingo and floral invitation suite, you know I was on board in a heartbeat!
The party was featured on Style Me Pretty Living on Tuesday, and you can see the full feature here. Below are some of my absolute favorite pictures, captured by the talented Pebelona Studio, as well as some sweet words from Yesy.
From Yesy..."As the owner of a boutique event design and rental company, details make my heart skip a beat, and nothing makes my heart skip a bigger beat than personalized details. Invitations were very important to me because I love, love, love paper goods and I believe invitations set the tone of your event and get your guest excited. Besides, who doesn’t like to receive pretty snail mail? I knew I wanted something different and special for the party favors, I wanted the kids to take something home that would always remind them of what a great time they had at Ava’s birthday party. I had met the lovely Simply Jessica Marie at a workshop, the minute I met her, I knew she was the go to person to bring my vision to life. Jessica created the beautiful custom invites with adorable envelope liners."
"The envelope liner was the inspiration for the custom 8×8 floral dessert backdrop. The graceful four-foot tall flamingo was inspired by a beautiful window display of a swan and heron bird at anthropologie. I was so over heels in love with the swan and heron bird that I had to have a bird of my own for the party. The flamingo now resides in my office and makes a lovely statement piece. Three cakes to celebrate three magical years and lots and lots of sweets to satisfy everyone’s sweet tooth!"
"Each little girl and boy got as a send-off party favor a personalized framed illustration hand drawn by the ah-mazing SJM. The illustration for the girls was a girly flamingo wearing a crown and flower bouquet with each little girl’s name, and for the boys, an alligator with a bunting flag banner with each little boy’s name. Nothing says Florida like flamingos and alligators."
I just love all of the sweet, personal details Yesy included, don't you? That's one amazing mama!
