Hi friends and family! Zack and I are so incredibly excited that we are able to share our proposal story, photos, and video with y'all today! We have waited a few months to share these, because we have had the amazing opportunity to share our story on the Southern Weddings blog! Head over to the Southern Weddings blog for the full story on how the two of us met, and how Zack proposed! We will be sharing monthly updates on our wedding planning journey on their blog, so make sure to check back monthly for fun posts!
We have another really exciting announcement to make today- our wedding will be in exactly one year from now on May 14, 2016!! Let the countdown begin!
While we chose our favorite pictures to share on the SW blog, we wanted to share as many as we could on my blog today! If I could have posted each and every one of them, I would have, but that might break your computer and my blog! Grab a glass of something sweet and take a look through the visual representation of our engagement day, from start to finish!
I feel so lucky to have such a talented family who was with us the entire day to capture each moment on camera and film. Thank you to my future siblings Casey and Kristin for allowing us to relive this day for years to come! Want to know how I didn't put two and two together that Zack was proposing until the very end? Read our post on SW to see!
We've included little comments throughout the post, so make sure to read those too for exciting information!
Guess what? We've chosen our official wedding hashtag!! It will be #jessgetsapedi - follow along on my Instagram for updates!
While I was at lunch with the girls, Zack came back early to make sure everything was set up, and to practice! I love this picture of him "proposing" even before I'm with him!
I was in complete and total shock that Zack was proposing until this exact moment above. I love that Kristin was able to capture my face at the moment when I realized my life would change forever!
This was right after Zack yelled out "she said yes!!"
Mom surprised all of us with a letter that she wrote to me right after she met Zack for the first time. Crazy enough, she knew that he was the one I would marry, and we had only been dating for about a month!
One of my best friends, Kelly, was unable to fly down for our engagement, so I obviously had to facetime her and share the good news- and show off my ring!
Above all else, Zack and I are so excited to plan for our marriage and our life together. I love that he thought to have our families and close friends with us at the start of our engagement, because that is how I want our wedding day to be, and our future life to be as well! Surrounded by those we love, with lots of laughter and fun surprises along the way.
