Happy Cinco de Mayo everybody! I hope y'all are having a wonderfully feisty day so far! Now that it is officially lunch time, I wanted to share a recipe for my new favorite margarita- a Strawberry Basil Margarita! It was extremely easy to make, and is a fun twist on the traditional marg.
Strawberry Basil Margarita Recipe
Makes about 4 margaritas
6 oz of lime concentrate
1 1/4 cups of water
1 cup of tequila
5-10 basil leaves
Pour the lime concentrate, water, and tequila into your pitcher, add ice, and stir. Wash your strawberries, hull them and slice them in half vertically, and then add them to the pitcher. Wash your basil leaves, and roll them in your hands a bit as you are adding them to the pitcher, as this will release more of the basil flavor. Stir the margarita, cover the pitcher, and refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving. This will allow the margarita to soak up all of the flavors, and will also let it turn that pretty soft pink color that you see above!

I am also introducing a new art print to the shop today! This fashion illustration art print was inspired by my love for margaritas and bold colors. The fun pattern of the Anthropologie top and skirt combo combined with bright pink accessories and lipstick really make this a flirty fiesta in the form of an art print!
It would look just darling framed and placed on your bar cart or hanging in your kitchen. It is a mini art print (5x7"), making it perfect for small spaces! Each print will be hand signed by me. If you love this print and think it would be perfect for your apartment and to give to your favorite friends, you can find it here in my Etsy shop!
