Instead of focusing on one specific trend for today's My Style Monday, I'm going to focus on a slew of trends that appeared at last night's Emmy Awards. Some of the most prominent trends were sheer-bottom dresses, beachy waves, emerald and plum gowns, and orange-red lips.
Here are some of my favorite looks from last night.
I will always adore a beautiful neutral or blush gown, and these three ladies wore the color perfectly. I have never seen Julia Bowen in such a feminine piece, and she looks absolutely darling in Zac Posen. I love the simplicity of Rose Byrne's Calvin Klein gown, and the more embellished look of Kerry Washington's Marchesa gown.
Although I am smitten by blush tones, a fabulous pop of color will win me over as well. It is hard to go wrong with Prada, and Michelle Dockery wore this two-toned piece with elegance. The simple lines in this Ralph Lauren gown worn by Allison Williams is such a classic and flattering look. Linda Cardellini's flourished, flowing Donna Karan Atelier gown is equally flattering with a soft, feminine charm.
So, which look do y'all prefer? A more neutral palette or bold tones? Classic lines or more embellished, flowing features? Is there a gown that you loved that didn't make my list? I'd love to know!
