21st Birthday Week, Part 1

It's officially my 21st birthday week! The festivities started this past Saturday and will continue throughout my real birthday, which is this Friday. Can I just say that I am SO excited?! This is one of the biggest milestones of a person's life, and my 21st happens to fall about 5 months later than the majority of my friends. So needless to say, this celebration has been a long time coming. Saturday, my little sister went to her first homecoming dance. So we began the night by taking pictures of her and her friends. Then, I went to Thruway Shopping Center with my parents to pick up my first birthday gift from them- a cream Patagonia zip-up jacket! I've been wanting one of these for a while and I have a feeling that I'm going to be wearing it quite frequently this fall. Then, we went to the Bonefish Grill for dinner and each ordered something fabulous.

Sunday, my mom and I went shopping again at Thruway and I got some dresses for Sigma Kappa's Semi Formal and My Tie Date Party. Then, we celebrated my birthday with dinner, cake, and dessert with my parents, sister, and grandparents at our house. My grandpa made his pasta sauce and meatballs and my grandma made my favorite Jewish Apple Cake. I was a happy camper. Then, I opened my gifts from my grandparents.

They got me my first personal set of red wine glasses.

And white wine glasses!

Then my sister and I took a picture with the ribbon that was on the packaging of my gifts!

Monday, my mom and I went for an hour long massage at Massage Envy, which was much needed for both of us. It was great to be able to set some time aside from homework, philanthropy planning, and emailing to just relax.

Today, I got the BEST gift of all- my annual flu shot from my mom's office at Wake Forest University. It's just the best. To make up for the pain, I went shopping at Forever 21 and bought black boots, a black leather jacket, and a navy dress. I swear it made the pain of the shot decrease. Then, dad made us a lovely steak dinner, and I'm in the midst of watching this entertaining Presidential Debate on TV right now. Please stop arguing? That's all.

More to come in Part 2 for my actual birthday and Elon's Homecoming weekend!
