Since my parents are down at University of Florida helping to move my brother into his first dorm, my sister and I have been home alone for the weekend. I didn't get to spend any time with her yesterday because I worked a 19 hour day to produce one of the most fantastic and design-oriented weddings (check out my twitter for some pics!). So, today we spent the whole day together. We had bagels this morning and went to church in the afternoon. Then, we just hung out at home in the afternoon before heading up to Greensboro to go to our favorite restaurant: PF Changs.
They have this special "PF Changs for Two" dinner option that sounded just perfect. It included soup for the two of us, an appetizer to share, two main dishes, and one dessert. Here's what we chose to order:
A classic Egg Drop Soup to start the meal. I love love love this soup.
The obvious choice for our appetizer was the Pan-Seared Pork Dumplings. They're our absolute favorite appetizer to order at any Asian restaurant.
A couple of years ago, one of my cousins introduced us to the Mongolian Beef. Ever since, we've literally been hooked. I cannot go to PF Changs without ordering it, it's just so good!
We also love their Sweet and Sour Chicken. It's stir-fried in the sauce already to help soak in the flavor. I've been to some restaurants that just give you fried chicken bits with the sauce on the side, which is odd to me. Mmm these were the perfect two choices.
Aaand then came the good stuff- dessert. Their Banana Spring Rolls are insanely delicious. They are warm banana bits inside a crispy spring roll, drizzled in caramel and vanilla sauces and served with fruit and coconut-pineapple ice cream. Holy moly I could eat this every day.
Luckily, we have some leftovers to eat for lunch tomorrow! Not only was the food amazing, but it was great to get the chance to spend the whole day with my sister. She's such a cool little lady. We're at my apartment at Elon now, so I'm going to get back to hanging out with her! Hope y'all are having a fun Sunday too.
