New Jersy, Day Three- A Visit to Carlos's Bakery!

Today, I crossed something off my bucket list! I went with some of my family to Carlos's Bakery in Hoboken, NJ.

We hopped the train and travelled from Hamilton to Hoboken.

I rarely ever use public transportation at home, so this in and of itself was a bit of an adventure. I like being slow-paced and having to move quickly to catch the connecting trains was not quiiite my cup of tea. But it was a fast way to get there! So therefore, it was convenient.

Before going to Carlos's Bakery, we stopped by a restaurant called 1Republik to grab some lunch. I was beyond pleased to find that there was a pulled pork sandwich with sweet potato fries on the menu. Granted, the pulled pork wasn't anything compared to what we have back in North Carolina, but it still hit the spot.

Then, after a long 1 1/2 hour wait in line, we finally made it to the front of the line to get into the bakery!! And of course we needed to get some pictures.

If you don't know, this is the bakery from Cake Boss, the TV show on TLC. I've been watching his show with my mom for years, and it was beyond cool to be able to be in the actual shop where many of the episodes were filmed.

The store was so crowded inside, but well worth the squeeze. Look at those cookies! We bought a huge box of assorted cookies, some cannoli, and a lobster claw.

Finally, I got to get a picture with the closest thing to Buddy (the owner of the shop) as I possibly could. Too bad my left eye is weirdly dark in this picture! But that's ok I still got to have this great day.

Completely satisfied. Night all!
