Taking Time to Enjoy the Ordinary
There was nothing particularly special about today. But, it was still quite a lovely day. I woke up early, got dressed, had some breakfast, walked Sophie, and headed off to my internship. P.S.- this is what Sophie likes to consider a morning walk- lying in any and every patch of shade she can find.
While at my internship, I mostly prepared for the wedding we have coming up this Thursday. I can't give away the specifics, but I'll just say that they have some extremely cute details to adorn their ceremony. More info to come soon!
After my internship, I finally got my butt back to the gym after a few days break. And I most likely won't be stepping foot into the gym for the next few days as I have a wedding rehearsal tomorrow night, wedding all day Thursday, a regular internship day Friday, a wedding rehearsal Saturday night, and a wedding all day Sunday. So maybe I'll go Friday/Saturday? Regardless, it was nice to have a little bit of "me" time today to devote to staying in shape.
I ended the night by picking my sister up from volleyball camp, making pasta for the two of us, and watching tonight's episode of Pretty Little Liars. I just want to know who A is already. I'm going to be so disappointed if it's someone we don't really know on the show. Hmm...time will tell.
So, nothing spectacular happened today, but I loved the ordinary factor of it all. Mostly I'm glad that it was an ordinary day because that means I was blessed to have nothing extraordinarily bad happen today. That's always something to be grateful for.
Here's the quote of the day from the "Love Life" book that relates to loving the ordinary,
Normal day, let me be aware of the treasure you are. Let me learn from you, love you, bless you before you depart. Let me not pass you by in the quest of some rare and perfect tomorrow. -Mary Jean Iron
