After every wedding I work, I always think, "wow, this was the most beautiful wedding I've seen this summer" for such and such reason. I've begun to realize that I honestly have just been appreciating each wedding for it's individual charm that has been brought to life by the couple's unique personalities. For me, I loved the rustic elegance that embodied the elements of Kayla and Austin's wedding. From the venue to the hand-made signs, everything about this wedding was perfectly lovely.
Kayla and Austin tied the knot at Raffaldini Vineyards in Ronda, North Carolina, one of the most charming venues I've ever seen. I've always dreamt about where I would have my wedding reception (I already know that I want to get married in a church), and a vineyard seems like the perfect spot. It's elegant and open, which is a great combination.
A palette of chocolate brown, deep purple, and green fit perfectly with the colors found in nature at the vineyards. The gold chiavari chairs added to the elegance of the reception design. That's my fellow intern, Ellie, in the background adding the final touches!
Once again, Amy Lynne Originals did a fabulous job designing the flowers for this wedding. The various types of flowers she finds are so unique and intriguing. I love the simplicity of the styling of this centerpiece and the range of colors in Kayla's bouquet. The lace wrap with crystal brooch is absolutely swoon-worthy.
Once our team was finished setting up the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception areas, it was time to get everyone in position for the wedding! I love this picture I got to capture of the groom taking a few minutes to reflect by himself before the ceremony began.
The ceremony was very sweet and personal. One of Kayla's friends performed "Marry Me" by Train on the guitar as she walked down the aisle, and a friend of Kayla and Austin was their officiant. After the ceremony concluded, guests were directed to the cocktail hour by this wooden sign hand-crafted by Kayla.
The guests gathered under this gorgeous tent with draping and chandeliers to cool off from the heat during the cocktail hour.
They got to enjoy signature cocktails chosen by the couple, and a few tasty treats provided by Holly Tate Fine Catering. I love pulled pork so I would've been a happy camper at this cocktail hour!
After Kayla and Austin were announced as Mr. & Mrs. Miller, everyone headed upstairs for a plated dinner, watched the newlyweds cut the cake, and listened to the toasts. Then, they went back to the tented area to dance (to some country songs which made me secretly sing along under my breath!) and snap some funny pictures at this photo booth.
Everyone had a lovely time, and Kayla and Austin seemed to be truly, truly happy. And that's the most important thing. I was overjoyed to be a part of your day, and hope the two of you are having a fantastic time on your honeymoon!
